Remote Cloning and Repair of Sailor TT-3027, TT-3026 and TT-3020C Transceivers
The Dontechcenter company performs remote cloning of Inmarsat-C Sailor TT-3027, TT-3026 and TT-3020C transceivers with the issuance of an ID string.
Required data for obtaining an ID string
TT-3027 / TT-3026:
- • Serial number (S/N) of the old transceiver
- • ISN number of the old transceiver
- • Printed circuit board (PCB) serial number of the new transceiver
TT-3020C / H2095C:
- • Serial number (S/N) of the old transceiver
- • Printed circuit board (PCB) serial number of the new transceiver
- • Mobile Type – determined by the terminal model of the old transceiver. The following types are supported: Land Mobile, Non-SOLAS Fishery, SOLAS Maritime and Non-SOLAS Without Distress Fishery
Determining transceiver parameters
The serial and ISN numbers are indicated in the registration documents, on the transceiver's nameplate or are accessible via the st -i command. The PCB serial number of the new transceiver can be found using the ver or st -w commands
Supported modifications
The service is available for all modifications: SAILOR 6110 GMDSS, 6120 SSAS, 6130 LRIT, 6140 Marine System, 6150 Non-SOLAS, TT-3026S, TT-3026D, TT-3026M, TT-3000SSA (Mini C), TT-3000LRIT, TT-3000E, H2095C, TT-3020C, TT-3022C, TT-3022D and other. The procedure is performed completely remotely, without being tied to regional service networks and without the need for physical delivery of the equipment.
Terms of service provision
The procedure for cloning (transferring ISN and serial number) Sailor transceivers involves processing critical maritime satellite communication identifiers subject to international regulation in accordance with the SOLAS Convention and ITU-R M.585 recommendations. In order to prevent unauthorized duplication of identifiers and ensure maritime safety, RPA LLC Dontechcenter establishes the following mandatory conditions for the provision of this service.
Customer requirements
- The service is provided exclusively to legal entities. Applications from individuals are not accepted. The customer must be a shipowner, a ship operator, or a service organization acting on their behalf.
- A service company must possess a valid Certificate of Firm Conformity (CFC) or a Certificate of Recognition issued by a recognized classification society that is an IACS member: RS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV, ClassNK, RINA, or other — in the field of maintenance and repair of radio and navigational equipment. A copy of the valid certificate must be provided before work commences.
Customer verification
The application is accepted only from the organization's official email address specified on the corporate website. Messages from free email services (gmail.com, mail.ru, yandex.ru, etc.) will not be considered without additional confirmation of the applicant's authority.
Decommissioning of faulty equipment
Prior to performing the cloning, the customer must provide confirmation that the faulty transceiver has been decommissioned and will not be reactivated:
- • A defect report or fault list signed by an authorized person.
- • An equipment write-off certificate.
- • A photograph of the faulty unit with a visible serial number and the nature of the damage.
- • Physical handover of the faulty unit to the contractor for disposal.
The simultaneous appearance of two devices with the same ISN identifier in the Inmarsat network poses a threat to the functioning of maritime safety systems (GMDSS, SSAS, LRIT) and may lead to the station being blocked by the network operator.
Limitations
- The service is not provided upon requests from third parties who do not have a documented relationship to the vessel on which the equipment is installed. Resale of cloned transceivers without assignment to a specific vessel is not permitted.
- The contractor transfers the identification parameters (ISN, serial number) from the faulty transceiver to a new or refurbished unit. The contractor bears no responsibility for the subsequent operation of the equipment, including the correctness of installation, connection, and commissioning on board the vessel. Responsibility for ensuring the equipment complies with the requirements of the classification society and the flag administration lies with the customer.
Firmware Update for Sailor TT-3026 Terminals
Dontechcenter provides a firmware update service for Inmarsat mini-C terminals of the Sailor TT-3026 series to version 2.26 (easyTrack Upgrade v1.20).
The update resolves the critical GPS Week Number Rollover issue affecting terminals with Garmin GPS modules (Ver. 2.X.XX) since March 25, 2023. The 1024-week offset causes incorrect date and time, failure of LRIT position reports and disruption of normal terminal operation. The update also restores normal device operation after software failures. Additionally, version 2.26 is required to ensure compatibility during servicing and reflashing of terminals.
Affected models: TT-3026S, TT-3026D, TT-3026M, TT-3000SSA, TT-3000LRIT, TT-3000E.
The procedure is performed entirely remotely, with no need for physical delivery of equipment, and is available to all owners of affected terminals and service centers. To request this service, please contact us by email.
Access Recovery
Dontechcenter provides a service for restoring access to Sailor TT-3027 and TT-3026 transceivers in case of password loss. The work is carried out remotely, without disassembly, soldering, or physical delivery of the equipment.
