Diving works

The diving department of Dontechcenter performs a full range of underwater technical works in harbors and water areas, including inspection, examination, and servicing of the underwater part of vessels. All operations are carried out in accordance with RMRS and RCS requirements and, when necessary, are documented with classification society reports.

Main Areas of Diving Work

Inspection of the underwater hull

  • • Visual inspection of the vessel’s hull for damage, fouling, and structural defects.
  • • Propeller and rudder unit (PRU) inspection, including debris removal from propellers.
  • • Diagnosis of underwater components with formal assessment documentation.

Underwater Inspection Documentation

  • • Photo and video recording of inspected areas with subsequent report preparation for the classification society.

Underwater Cleaning

  • • Removal of marine growth from hulls, propellers, rudders, and sea chests.
  • • Dismantling and cleaning of sea chest grates.

Sealing and Patch Installation

  • • Manufacturing and installation of emergency patches using steel sheets, rubber, and adhesive methods.
  • • Lathe operations for customized sealing elements.

Diver Support During Repairs

  • • Participation in underwater repairs of stern tube and rudder stock glands.
  • • Installation, sealing, and removal of temporary sealing units (bands) on stern tubes and rudder trunks.

Underwater Assembly and Emergency Work

  • • Underwater welding and cutting using specialized diving tools.

Work in Water Areas

  • • Recovery of sunken items from the seabed.
  • • Cleaning of the dock intake area and grates.
