Technology department

Dontechcenter's Technology Department performs a full range of non-destructive testing (NDT), visual-instrumental inspection, residual thickness measurements, and environmental monitoring. All work is carried out using certified equipment in accordance with RMRS, RCS, and international standards.

Measurement and inspection technologies

Technology Department

Residual thickness measurement of hull structures

• Ultrasonic thickness measurement of ship structures, including inspections under RMRS and RCS standards.
• Residual thickness measurements for technical reports and conclusions.

Visual and instrumental inspection

  • • Weld inspection, geometry verification, detection of cracks, corrosion, and deformation
  • • Documentation and issuance of technical condition reports

Ultrasonic testing (UT)

  • • Testing of welded joints and shafts
  • • Detection of lack of fusion, inclusions, porosity, and cracks
  • • UT application for VRK shafts and steering drives

Ultrasonic testing

Radiographic testing

  • • X-ray inspection of welded joints in steel structures
  • • Weld quality analysis and evaluation of internal defects

Radiographic weld inspection

Penetrant testing

  • • Surface defect detection using dye penetrant method
  • • Use of both domestic and imported testing compounds

Penetrant testing

Thermal imaging inspection

  • • Detection of hidden defects in fiberglass and composite hulls
  • • Assessment of adhesive seams and internal structures

Thermal imaging inspection

Atmospheric emissions monitoring

  • • Exhaust gas analysis for CO, CO₂, NOₓ, SO₂ content
  • • Applicable to diesel and gas engines

Smoke opacity measurement

  • • Smoke opacity measurement using certified optical instruments
  • • Evaluation of injector performance and fuel combustion quality
